Therapeutic Approach

Every person and relationship is unique, so I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches—Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, EMDR, and Somatic Therapy—and weave them together in a way that fits your needs. This allows us to work on both the surface patterns and the deeper layers, including trauma, to address what’s happening now and what’s rooted in the past, and support you as a whole person—mind, body, and relationship. The result is a process that flows naturally, adapts as you grow, and helps create meaningful, lasting change.

No two people heal in exactly the same way…

  • Helps uncover and share the emotions driving relationship patterns so you can build trust, closeness, and understanding.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a research-supported way of helping couples and individuals create stronger, healthier relationships. Instead of only focusing on surface-level issues, EFT looks at the deeper emotions and needs that shape how we interact. Together, we explore these patterns in a safe and supportive space, helping you feel heard, understood, and more connected. Over time, this process strengthens trust, deepens emotional intimacy, and helps you move forward together.

  • Offers research-based tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and strengthen your relationship’s foundation.

Developed from decades of research on what makes relationships succeed, the Gottman Method gives couples practical tools to strengthen their bond. Through structured conversations and guided exercises, you’ll learn how to improve communication, navigate conflict without damaging your connection, and nurture affection and friendship. This approach not only helps repair and heal, but also builds a strong foundation for lasting love, trust, and shared purpose.

  • Gently helps your brain process and heal from trauma or distressing experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming or “stuck.”

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based approach that helps people heal from the effects of trauma, stress, and other painful life experiences. When something overwhelming happens, your brain can store the memory in a way that keeps it feeling raw and present, even years later. EMDR uses gentle, guided eye movements or other forms of rhythmic stimulation to help your brain reprocess these memories, so they lose their emotional intensity. The result is often a deep sense of relief, freedom from triggers, and the ability to live more fully in the present.

  • Uses body-based awareness and techniques to release stored stress and create a greater sense of safety, balance, and presence.

Somatic therapy recognizes that our bodies hold on to the impacts of stress, trauma, and difficult emotions—sometimes long after the mind has moved on. This approach combines gentle awareness of physical sensations with tools like breathing, movement, and grounding exercises to help release tension and restore balance. By working with both the body and mind, somatic therapy can help you feel safer in your own skin, more present in your relationships, and better able to navigate life’s challenges with resilience.
