Couples Intensives: Focused Support for Your Relationship
What Is a Couples Intensive?
A couples intensive is a focused, accelerated therapy experience designed to help you make deep, lasting progress in a short amount of time. Instead of weeks or months of weekly therapy, you’ll spend one or two full days immersed in meaningful relationship work—with uninterrupted time to connect, heal, and grow.
What We Work On in an Intensive
Each intensive is customized to your relationship, but common areas we explore include:
Communication breakdowns and recurring conflict
Emotional disconnection or lack of intimacy
Trust repair after betrayal or infidelity
Navigating big life transitions (parenthood, relocation, empty nesting)
Rebuilding after years of feeling stuck or distant
Childhood trauma or attachment patterns showing up in the relationship

Pre-intensive relationship assessment (online)
Initial consultation call to clarify goals
Customized workbook or prep packet
6 hours of therapy per day (with breaks and integration time)
Access to me through text & phone during the day/days you have schedule for your intensive
Somatic tools and nervous system support throughout the day
Post-intensive summary + recommendations
Referrals or follow-up support options if needed

1-Day Intensive
Best for couples looking to:

Deepen connection without committing to ongoing weekly therapy
2-Day Intensive
Best for couples who:
Want more time for unpacking complex patterns
Are healing from deeper wounds or betrayal
Need space to process and integrate over two days
Sample Schedule (for 1-Day)
9:00–12:00 – Morning therapy block
12:00–1:00 – Lunch break
1:00–3:00 – Afternoon therapy block
Breaks are built into the process, and we’ll move at a pace that feels emotionally safe and sustainable.
What Makes This Intensive Different
As a couples therapist, I know that it is inevitable that trauma makes its’ way into our relationships. What sets me apart from other intensives is that I actively work to address these issues and help each partner understand the context of the reactions, or lack of reactions, in your cycle. We focus on emotional safety, recognizing and identifying patterns that you aren’t able to see, and there is a deep focus in emotional identification and resilience building. My intensives are:
Rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for deep emotional connection
Informed by the Gottman Method for practical tools and structure
Uses somatic interventions and EMDR for trauma and nervous system support
